- "Coasting" started the first day I thought Lyon and I might be able to pull off a cycling trip down the West Coast. We completed the trip in October 2010, successfully raising a dollar for each mile we pedaled for Posada Esperanza, a shelter for immigrant women and children in Austin, my home city.

What towns are you near at this point? I have FINALLY had a look at the book you are using and found another blog of a trip with other photos of N. Calif. You re about to come to some amazing scenery! Enjoy it all and take care of each other.
